We recently caught up with one of our favorite shops, Likely General, in Toronto.  Owned and curated by Brooke Manning, Likely General is a brick and mortar focused on providing handmade goods by up and coming designers. The shop also hosts a variety of events, workshops, and an ongoing Feminist Film night!  And...they have a beautiful shop dog named Jane :)

BALEEN: Where are you located?

LIKELY GENERAL: We are located in Roncesvalles Village, a lovely west-end area of Toronto lined with independent shops. The neighbourhood is incredibly friendly and supportive of local businesses.

B: What do you sell?

L: We sell handmade, quality goods, built with integrity and timelessness in mind. 

B: What is the best part of owning your store? 

L: The best part of owning your own store is being your own boss, of course. A close second: supporting the work of hard-working makers and friends. 

B: What's your favorite Baleen piece? 

L: I have had your little gold x studs in my ears for a year now! I never take them out!

B: What is your favorite ice cream flavor and/or pizza topping? 

L: I'm a simple woman, I love strawberry ice cream, and I love cheese pizza.
